Tomasz Stańczak Passes the Torch to Kubi Mensah on the Forta Council

The Forta Council is excited to announce an important update: Kubi Mensah is joining the Forta Council, taking over the seat previously held by Tomasz Stanczak from Nethermind. Tomasz recently became co-executive director at the Ethereum Foundation, a position requiring his full focus, and the Forta community is immensely grateful for his impactful contributions during his time on the Council.

Community-Led Milestones Driving Forta Forward

Tomasz was elected as a founding Council member by the Forta community under FP-1, helping Forta scale its mission to secure the blockchain ecosystem. During Tomasz’s tenure, the Council oversaw numerous key milestones, from developing a ML-powered model that detects 99% of threats before they happen, to launching Forta Firewall 9 months ago, which is now screening ~3M transactions a day, cementing Forta’s position as the leading security and compliance infrastructure for rollups. The Council’s mandate is to steward the continued evolution of the Forta Network by facilitating the collective action of its community, providing strategic guidance; from reviewing governance decisions to strategic oversight. Alongside current members such as Hart Lambur, Demian Brener, Mat Traviziano, Jeremy Sklaroff, Juan Garré and Jonathan Alexander, representing some of the brightest minds in blockchain, the addition of Kubi Mensah further strengthens the Council’s commitment to support a secure and successful ecosystem.

Joining the Council now is Kubi Mensah, CEO and Co-Founder at Gattaca, successful angel investor, and former founder of mobile security start-up Sphere (acquired by OneLogin),  whose expertise brings fresh insights to the Forta ecosystem. Kubi has a proven track record in blockchain strategy and in building production-grade, high-performance infrastructure at scale. His deep knowledge of blockchain will be invaluable as Forta continues supporting rollups such as Ink, Plume, and Celo, while significantly expanding its product capabilities in 2025: moving beyond exploit detection to tackle a full spectrum of risks, from scams and compliance to infrastructure threats, with data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.
